The Ministry of Interior (Mol), in collaboration with service providers and pertinent government agencies, has introduced the Public Warning System. The system is uniquely designed to transmit informative warning messages to the public's smartphones.
The objective of these messages is to manage emergencies, crises, disasters, and other critical situations by disseminating them broadly to the general public or to specific geographic areas in an efficient manner.
To alert the intended recipients, warning messages are displayed in both Arabic and English on mobile screens, accompanied by vibration and a ringtone.
