Qatar Announces Extension of Gaza Truce for An Additional Day


Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has disclosed that both the Israeli and Palestinian parties have agreed to a 24-hour extension of the existing humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip (November 30, 2023).

The ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) will mirror the previous terms, including the cessation of hostilities and the provision of humanitarian aid. This agreement is being facilitated through joint mediation efforts by the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States of America.

According to an official statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' spokesperson has confirmed that there are ongoing intensified efforts aimed at establishing a permanent ceasefire in Gaza Strip.
