Qatar ExxonMobil Open Set to Become ATP500 Event


The Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) recently disclosed the Qatar ExxonMobil Open's upgrade from ATP250 to ATP500. This is a significant milestone in the tournament's progression since its inception in 1993, where Doha hosted the inaugural edition. The upgrade of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open will be effective starting in 2025. Qatar has successfully positioned itself as a leading global sports hub, and recently upgraded ATP500 tournament will remain one of its most valued assets.

The QTF expressed gratitude to the ATP for their ongoing trust and collaboration. Their support has been pivotal in providing the Federation with the opportunity to elevate the tournament to its current level.

"Our goal has always been to excel in the organization of our tournament, resulting in our event having been voted ATP250 of the year on 5 of the last 8 years. This commitment remains, and we are determined to offer all players, officials, guests, and spectators an even more wonderful experience through our new ATP500 event." QTF said in a press statement yesterday.
