On November 22, 2023, the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) reported its successful distribution of 4,000 food parcels to 24,000 displaced beneficiaries in ten shelters located in the southern region of the Gaza Strip's Khan Yunis Governorate. In collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development, 14,000 hot meals were also distributed to 14 shelter centres, along with an additional distribution of 2,600 meals.
Apart from the food distribution program, the Qatar Red Crescent Society's Gaza office is managing mobile medical clinics. The team includes doctors from Dar Al Salam Hospital who have efficiently treated 800 medical cases across four locations. The initiative is presently focusing on ten sites that will provide shelter to displaced individuals residing in the southern Gaza Strip.
