Qatar Tourism has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mowasalat (Karwa) to enhance the tourism experience for visitors arriving in Qatar aboard cruise ships. HE Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, and Fahad Saad Al-Qahtani, CEO of Mowasalat Company (Karwa), signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish collaboration and coordination between the two entities. The primary objective of the MoU is to boost the cruise tourism industry in Qatar, with a focus on enhancing transparency, cost-effectiveness, and provision of necessary support for a successful cruise season. Key areas of collaboration include facilitating open communication, improving cost efficiencies, and offering support for upcoming cruises. Furthermore, Qatar Tourism will provide Mowasalat with tourism statistics and advance notice of cruise ship arrival schedules to enable efficient planning of transportation services.
Commenting on the MoU, HE Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, said: "Cruise tourism is a strategic pillar that contributes to Qatar's national tourism strategy and elevates Qatar's position on the global tourism map.
