Qatar University (QU) to Host International Association of Universities 2023 Conference from November 25

Qatar University (QU) will host the International Association of Universities (IAU) 2023 Conference from November 25-27 under the theme 'Higher Education with Impact: The Importance of Intercultural Learning and Dialogue.' The IAU 2023 Intercultural Conference aims to delve into the ways in which universities worldwide facilitate intercultural learning and dialogue. Featuring over 40 speakers and attended by more than 100 university leaders, the conference will also address the influence of geopolitics on this objective and its far-reaching implications for society.

The conference comprises three primary plenary sessions, namely: 'Intercultural Imperative in a De-globalizing World,' 'Opening Knowledge for Humanity in an Interconnected World,' and 'The Impact of Geopolitics on the Future of International Cooperation.' The conference will also feature several breakout sessions.

The conference aims to investigate the role of universities in promoting intercultural skills, cultivating cross-cultural understanding, and fostering a sense of interconnectedness. Participants will engage in discussions concerning the significance of open science in facilitating transparent, inclusive, and collaborative scientific practices.
