The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a nine-hour road closure on Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor. The closure applies to traffic moving from Umm Lekhba Interchange underpass to Thani Bin Jassim Interchange underpass, specifically in the direction of the Hamad International Airport.
Meanwhile, traffic will continue to flow on the service roads and Thani Bin Jassim Interchange signals. However, the Umm Lekhba Interchange flyover that connects Al Shamal to Hamad International Airport will be temporarily closed. The detour will commence on Friday, December 1, 2023, between 1am to 10am, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic.
- The department recommends that travelers traveling from Al Shamal or Al Markhiya should use Duhail Interchange to reach their destination via Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor.
- For travelers departing from Doha to Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor, it's recommended to utilize the service roads along Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor to reach their destinations. The attached map illustrates the route, which includes routing through Umm Lekhba Interchange.
