Vodafone Qatar has announced a new collaboration with Google, which will enable customers to pay bills and recharge their accounts using Google Pay through the My Vodafone App. This integration allows for seamless in-app, online, and in-person contactless payments on Android mobile and Wear OS devices. Vodafone customers can download the Google Wallet application via the Google Play Store, add an eligible debit or credit card, and through the My Vodafone App, can simply choose the Google Pay option in either the Billing or the Recharge section, confirm, and then pay to carry out the transaction.
As a security measure, users must undergo verification every time they open Google Pay or make a payment using the tap-to-pay feature. Additionally, all transactions are encrypted and tokenized, ensuring an added layer of protection.
