Amir and French President Discuss Relations and Developments in Gaza


An official talk session was held at Lusail Palace between Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the President of the French Republic, HE Emmanuel Macron on December 2. During the meeting, discussions focused on ways to enhance and develop strategic cooperation relations between the two countries across multiple fields. Views were exchanged on various international and regional issues, with particular attention given to the situation in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. HH the Amir emphasized the significance of continued international collaboration to ensure the safety of civilians, establish a permanent ceasefire, deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, and seek solutions that align with UN and international resolutions, ultimately leading to the establishment of two states.

Present at the session were the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Chief of the Amiri Diwan, His Excellency Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, and other notable senior officials. On the French side, it was attended by Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic HE Catherine Colonna, and a number of members of the accompanying official delegation.
