The Ministry of Interior (Mol) has issued information urging e-scooter riders to adhere to safety guidelines while operating their vehicles. In a recent post published on its official X account, the Mol emphasized the importance of following these safety measures to prevent accidents and maintain the highest level of security and safety standards.
The advisory said."Use designated paths, avoid riding overspeed, use a reflective vest, turn on the scooter light and always wear a helmet properly,"
Ft. Lt. Hamad Salem al-Nahab, the Awareness Officer at the General Directorate of Traffic, advises electric scooter users to avoid carrying heavy items or other individuals that may disrupt the balance of the scooter.
While talking to Al Rayyan TV, the Mol official said"Don't ride in groups or close distances between other scooters. This is to avoid accidents,".
"Ensure the safety and readiness of the scooter, in terms of tires, chassis, brakes, and lighting in the front and back," he said.
