Doha, Qatar: With the onset of winter and the rainy season, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has issued advice to the public for protecting oneself against dengue fever, which is transmitted through specific species of mosquitoes.
According to the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), the recent heavy rainfall in Qatar has resulted in a surge in mosquito breeding. The increase in breeding can be attributed to various factors, such as climate change, global warming, and trade activities.
It's crucial for individuals within the community to be knowledgeable about mosquito bite prevention and to recognize the signs and symptoms of dengue fever and take appropriate measures, MoPH added.
Recently, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in Qatar has identified new species of mosquitoes capable of transmitting the dengue fever virus. MoPH has cautioned the public to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
