Doha, Qatar: The Palestine pavilion at the Expo 2023 Doha showcases the story of resilience, heritage and history of Palestinians.
The pavilion’s external part exhibits embroideries of the Palestinian dress and its colours that express pride and honour, and the olive tree which is considered a national symbol.
The pavilion displays an aspect of the Palestinian heritage and agriculture methods in all its four sections. The first section exhibits Palestinian clothing, particularly women’a hand-embroidered clothing and keffiyeh, along with some household items. The second section includes their special food products, such as olive oil and thyme, and methods of harvesting and pressing olives via large screens. Moreover, the third section of the pavilion showcases paintings that express the history of Palestine and the most prominent cities such as Jerusalem, Jaffa and Akka. Olives trees and a small shop displaying Palestinian products make the fourth section.
