Qatar Red Crescent Society Allocates $3.5 Million for Gaza Relief


The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has strengthened its humanitarian efforts to provide support and deliver emergency aid to the Palestinian people by allocating $3.5 million from its Disaster Response Fund and thereby supporting more than 255,000 beneficiaries at shelter centres. QRCS has two relief delegations in Al-Arish and Cairo to receive, prepare, and deploy aid shipments from Al-Arish International Airport to Rafah Border Crossing.

Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) announced On Sunday 10 December 2023, that an additional three relief aircraft were deployed to Al-Arish, carrying a total of 116 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza, including food and medical items provided by Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), QRCS, and Qatar Charity (QC).

As of Sunday, the total number of planes from Qatar to the area has reached  42, with a total of 1,362 tonnes of various aid, such as food, medicines and medical supplies, and a field hospital, jointly donated by the Qatar Fund for Development, Qatar Red Crescent Society, and Qatar Charity.
