RACA Launches 'Palestine Duty' Relief Campaign

The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities in Qatar (RACA) has launched a relief campaign named "Palestine Duty" in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent Society and Qatar Charity and in cooperation with the Qatar Media Corporation (Qatar TV). The initiative aims to assist those impacted by the recent aggression in Gaza.

RACA stated that this initiative is part of Qatar's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, providing crucial assistance to those affected by the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip. This campaign aims to provide aid to those most vulnerable including the injured, orphans, children, widows, pregnant women, and the elderly by procuring essential items such as medicine, food, emergency shelter supplies, clothing, water, cleaning and hygiene products, as well as supplies specifically for women and children.

On December 18th, Qatar TV will broadcast the campaign live from donation sites at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), Souq Waqif, and Darb Al Sai, coinciding with the state's National Day.

RACA has emphasized the severity of the situation in Gaza, where over 70 days of aggression have resulted in the potential for famine and disease to spread, causing harm to an entire generation of children in the region. The current state in Gaza is described as catastrophic and has dire consequences for the future of the children and their families. Immediate and life-saving support is urgently needed to address this crisis.
