Doha, Qatar: The highly anticipated second edition of the Visit Qatar Kite Festival is set to run from January 25 to February 3, 2024, in Old Doha Port. An astonishing show of giant kites flown by 60 participants from different parts of the world can be witnessed by the visitors.
The festival is conducted with the support of its strategic partner Qatar Tourism and its venue partner Old Doha Port.

The venue chosen for this edition is the Old Doha Port, selected for its combination of historical significance, contemporary facilities, and breathtaking views of the West Bay skyline. The location serves as a perfect representation of Doha's heritage and modern-day charm. The event's proximity to the cruise terminal also presents an opportunity to draw in international passengers visiting during the busy cruise season, with the added attraction of the Visit Qatar Kite Festival.
The ten-day event will feature numerous activities including flying displays of huge and attractive kites in different colours and patterns, inflatables games area by Celebration Palace, food court that serves international cuisines and free-of-charge kite-building workshops led by Iqbal Husain. Children will acquire the skills to craft their own kites utilizing eco-friendly, biodegradable materials, and subsequently, they will launch and fly them with proficiency.
