AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: Nearly 900,000 Tickets Have Been Sold


The local organizing committee announced that the upcoming Asian Cup Qatar 2023 tournament has sold nearly 900,000 tickets so far. Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 Local Organising Committee, Hassan Rabea Al Kuwari, announced this in a press conference held on January 10, 2024.

According to the official, the forthcoming tournament scheduled to commence on January 12, 2024, will witness the participation of more than 2,000 media personnel to cover the event.

According to him, there are currently more than 6,000 volunteers from 107 countries working to ensure that the upcoming Asian Cup is an unforgettable experience.

The highly anticipated tournament is set to commence this Friday, with a dazzling opening ceremony and an inaugural match between Qatar and Lebanon at the iconic Lusail Stadium.

"We will benefit from the significant legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, making the Asian Cup a globally-influenced (World Cup-like) event," said Al Kuwari during the press conference.
