Hamad International Airport Received Over 45 Million Passengers in Last Year


In 2023, the Hamad International Airport (DOH) exceeded all expectations, welcoming an unprecedented 45,916,104 passengers, a 31% increase from 2022. Impressively, passenger volume continued to rise, surpassing even the momentum established during the time of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The airport has impressive growth with a cumulative passenger count of nearly 303 million. The airport has demonstrated a 63% growth in annual passenger volume since the beginning. These accomplishments have earned the airport recognition as one of the world's busiest airports of 2023, according to OAG's Global Airline Schedules Data.

Hamad International Airport experienced a significant increase in aircraft movements, reporting 252,059 movements over the past year, which is a 22% increase from the previous year. Additionally, cargo operations saw impressive growth with a total of 2,340,711 tons of cargo. The airport served a total of 52 airlines in 2023.
