Doha, Qatar: The Criminal Investigation Department arrested a man of Asian descent for engaging in unlicensed currency exchange operations.
After conducting a thorough search and investigative operations, the suspect was found carrying significant amounts of Qatari currency that he had obtained from labourers in exchange for Asian currency.
After investigation, the suspect confessed to the alleged crime. In addition, evidence such as cash amounts along with financial receipts were discovered in his possession.
The accused and the seized items have been handed over to the appropriate authorities.
