7th Batch of Injured Palestinians Arrives in Doha to Receive Treatment


On Sunday, January 14, Qatar welcomed the 7th batch of injured individuals from Gaza Strip to receive medical treatment in Doha, as part of the initiative of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to give treatment for 1,500 Palestinians from the Strip.

This initiative is a testament of Qatar's enduring support and its persistent endeavors aimed at mitigating the hardships faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza, in collaboration with regional and international partners, this undertaking seeks to address the current humanitarian crisis in the region.

The 7th batch of wounded people was received in cooperation and coordination with the Italian and French sides, and the primary objective is to provide relief to the catastrophic humanitarian crisis brought about by the ongoing war in Gaza, particularly in the fields of healthcare and aid. These efforts are in tandem with the ongoing attempts to negotiate a ceasefire and de-escalation of the conflict in the region.

On Thursday, the State of Qatar welcomed the sixth batch of injured Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, for their medical treatment in Doha.

Hamad Yousef Al Maliki, Director of the Office of the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the continuation of HH the Amir's initiative to treat 1,500 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. Qatar has received the sixth and seventh batches of patients, with cooperation from French and Italian sides. The injured were transported from the Gaza Strip to the Italian and French hospitals in El Arish and then to Doha.
