The national football team of Indonesia has arrived in Doha to take part in the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, which is scheduled from 12 January to 10 February 2024. Indonesia is participating in the Asian Cup for the fifth time, to establish a prominent presence and progress beyond the group league phase to attain the elimination rounds.
The Indonesian football team had been knocked out in the first round during their previous participation in the continental finals. Nevertheless, in the 2007 edition held in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, the team achieved their second victory in the history of the AFC Asian Cup.
Libya's football team triumphed over Indonesia, scoring a 2-1 victory in the second friendly match held in Antalya City, Turkey, in preparation for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup in Qatar 2023.
The team has been placed in Group D, which comprises of Japan, Iraq, and Vietnam.
