Doha, Qatar: Hamad International Airport (HIA) received the 'Large-format Digital Canvases' award at the Digital Signage Awards for its 1.2km digital ribbon encircling the 'Orchard,' the indoor tropical garden within the airport premises.
Hosted at the Esferic Events Centre in Barcelona, the Global Digital Signage Awards represent an annual international quest for excellence and innovation spanning projects, creativity, products, and services.
The submission for this prestigious accolade was presented by the multimedia studio Moment Factory, entrusted with enriching the Orchard with a dynamic and imaginative multimedia ecosystem.
The ribbon display is a striking feature of the Orchard, enhancing the verdant surroundings and 10,000 square meters of diverse retail and F&B spaces, thereby enriching the visual ambiance.
Unveiled in November 2022 as part of Phase A of HIA's expansion plan, the Orchard spans 6,000 square meters and houses trees, plants, and shrubs sourced from sustainable forests worldwide.
