Doha, Qatar: Qatar received over 519,000 visitors in December 2023, compared to 393.241 in November, showing a 31.9 percent rise on a month-on-month basis.
Visitors from GCC countries played a significant role in the robust increase in tourist traffic to Qatar last December.
The country has become a popular destination for tourists from various regions, with visitors from CC countries accounting for 33% of the total arrivals, as per official data released by the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA). The number of visitors to the country stood at 171,035.
Doha is rapidly gaining popularity among tourists worldwide due to a variety of events such as Expo Doha 2023, AFC Asian Cup, World Aquatics Championships, Qatar International Food Festival, Web Summit, and Qatar International Rally.
