French Man Treks Through 13 Countries on Foot to Perform Umrah Pilgrimage


Covering 13 countries and crossing over 8,000 kilometers on foot, a French traveler reached Saudi Arabia to embark on the Umrah pilgrimage. According to the Saudi Press Agency, Mohamed Boulabiar completed his arduous journey, arriving in Madinah on May 14, 2024, after an eight-month expedition.

In an interview, the French national shared that he encountered no significant issues during his travels, with weather proving to be the only challenge. Beginning his journey in summer, he transitioned through autumn and winter across different regions globally, with a week's delay due to a snowstorm at the Greek border.

Expressing his joy upon reaching Madinah, his inaugural visit to the Gulf, he described the it as a dream come true experience.

"I traversed over 8,000 kilometers during the journey, crossing 12 countries before arriving in Saudi Arabia, the 13th country in my journey. I began from France, traversing Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Turkiye, and Jordan, before finally reaching Saudi Arabia." he expressed on social media.
