Israel Bombing Turned Gaza Into "Hell on Earth," Says UN Official

Martin Griffiths, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, has expressed concerns regarding the Israeli bombardment of Gaza since October 7, transforming the poor sector, already under siege, into a hell on earth.

In a statement released on Monday, Griffiths highlighted the immense challenges in providing essential humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip's residents who are on the brink of famine. He underscored the significant obstacles posed by extensive civilian and infrastructure damage in Gaza, coupled with the politicization of aid amid escalating hunger and disease.

Moreover, Griffiths underscored the  loss of humanitarian and United Nations personnel in Gaza due to the ongoing conflict.
