Doha, Qatar: The iconic Dugong sculpture by well-known American artist Jeff Koons, which has been prominently displayed at Al Masrah Park, is being farewelled after an 18-month display.
Originally commissioned for six months during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the sculpture's immense popularity has resulted in a one-year extension of its exhibition.
“Thankful to Jeff Koons and his team for creating such a magnificent work that became an iconic part of our city during this key moment in our history,” Qatar Museums posted on its social media platform.
