Qatar Moves Up by 9 Places in 2024 Global Ranking of Passports; Now Placed in 46th Position


Doha, Qatar: 
Qatar has moved up nine positions to secure the 46th rank globally on the Henley Passport Index, with visa-free entry to 107 destinations, a notable increase from 100 destinations in January 2023. 

Within the GCC region, Qatar holds the second position, trailing behind the UAE, which stands at the 9th spot globally with visa-free access to 185 destinations. 

Subsequently, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman occupy the 49th, 56th, 57th, and 58th positions, respectively.

At the top of the index, Singapore leads with unrestricted access to 195 destinations. Following closely behind are France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain, sharing the second position with entry to 192 destinations each. 

Conversely, Afghanistan maintains the lowest ranking, offering access to only 26 destinations.
