28 Pakistani Pilgrims Killed in Bus Accident in Iran, Over 23 Injured


A bus transporting pilgrims from Pakistan to Iraq crashed in central Iran, leading to the death at least 28 people on Tuesday night.

The passengers were heading to the holy city of Karbala in Iraq for a significant Shia calendar event. Unfortunately, the bus crashed and caught fire near the city of Taft, around 300 miles southeast of Tehran.

As per local emergency official Mohammad Ali Malekzadeh, the bus was carrying 51 passengers during the unfortunate event. 23 others were injured, with 14 of them in critical condition.
