Qatar's beach volleyball team, comprising Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, secured a spot in the semifinals at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The Qatari duo showcased an outstanding performance by defeating the US duo of Bartin Miles and Benish Andrew in straight sets with scores of 21-14 and 21-16, marking their fifth consecutive victory in the intense competition.
Qatari team is set to compete against their Swedish counterparts, David Ahman and Jonathan Hellvig, in the next round. This upcoming showdown carries special weight as Qatar had previously emerged triumphant against the Swedish duo in the group stage with a score of 2-1.
