Ministry Announces Conclusion of Ban on Outdoor Work During Summer

On September 15, 2024, the Ministry of Labour announced the lifting of the ban on outdoor work during the summer months.

The ministry emphasised that while outdoor work may now resume, it must be conducted in accordance with established health and safety standards.

To safeguard workers from the risks associated with heat stress, the Ministry of Labour imposes a ban on outdoor work during peak daytime hours, specifically from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each year. This summer ban is enforced in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 17 of 2021, which outlines essential precautions to protect workers from the hazards of extreme heat.
