Over Half of Homes in Gaza Damaged or Destroyed; Death Toll Reaches 40,878

Recent reports indicate that the death toll in Gaza has climbed to 40,878, with more than 16,500 children among the casualties, as a result of the ongoing severe aggression by the Israeli occupation forces on the Strip. The United Nations rights office has highlighted that a majority of the victims are women and children. The actual number of fatalities could be higher, with concerns about over 10,000 missing Palestinians potentially under the rubble.

Moreover, the United Nations has disclosed that around two-thirds of structures in Gaza have been damaged or demolished due to the relentless Israeli bombardment.

The most recent data from humanitarian organizations underscores the widespread devastation caused by the assaults, including the destruction of over half of Gaza's residences, 80% of commercial establishments, 85% of school structures, 65% of roads, and 65% of farmland. Furthermore, the healthcare system in Gaza has been severely affected, leaving only 17 out of 36 hospitals partially operational.
