Nicaragua plans to sever diplomatic relations with Israel due to the Gaza conflict. President Daniel Ortega, critical of Israel's military actions, labeled the Israeli government as "fascist and genocidal."
Vice President Rosario Murillo confirmed this symbolic decision, as existing diplomatic ties are minimal, with no Israeli ambassador in Managua.
This is not the first time Nicaragua has cut ties with Israel; similar actions occurred in 2010 and 1982 under Ortega's previous leadership.
