Qatar Customs Foils Attempt to Smuggle Banned Pills into Country

Doha, Qatar: The General Authority of Customs in Qatar thwarted an attempt to smuggle 2,100 Lyrica pills at Hamad International Airport.

Customs officials became suspicious of a traveller, leading to an X-ray check and a manual search that uncovered the pills hidden in a pouch on the suspect's body.

The authority reaffirmed its dedication to combating illegal goods smuggling, highlighting ongoing training for inspectors in advanced techniques and awareness of smuggling methods.
