Continuous War on Gaza has Become 'Endless Nightmare,' says UNRWA Commissioner-General

Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, described the Gaza conflict as an "endless nightmare" during a Geneva press conference.

He emphasized the deteriorating living conditions, now deemed unlivable, with residents facing disease, death, and hunger amidst garbage and sewage. Lazzarini highlighted that people are confined to just 10% of the land, perpetually seeking safety.

He expressed particular concern for the children, who make up half of Gaza's population, suffering ongoing trauma and losing hope for a better future.
