Doha, Qatar: The much awaited 14th edition of the Katara Traditional Dhow Festival, under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, will take place at the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara from Wednesday, 27 November 2024. The event will run until 7 December 2024.
This significant cultural event celebrates the maritime heritage of the Gulf states and beyond and includes participation from many countries including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Palestine, Iraq, India, Tanzania, and Iran, alongside the host, Qatar.
The festival will feature a variety of activities, including maritime art shows and a maritime opera that highlights traditional maritime arts in the region.
