Popular Chess Players to Compete in 4th Edition of Qatar Masters Open


Doha, Qatar: The highly anticipated fourth edition of the Qatar Masters Open will take place from December 2 to December 13 at Aspire Zone, featuring an amazing lineup of world-class players.

The Qatar Chess Association announced that around 100 players from 25 countries will participate, competing for a prize pool of $108,000. 

Notable participants include Uzbekistan's Nodirbek Abdusattorov, ranked sixth globally and last year's runner-up, reigning champion Nodirbek Yakubboev, Iran's Parham Maghsoodloo, and India's Dommaraju Gukesh, ranked eighth in the world. Qatar will be represented by Grandmaster Hussein Aziz, while UAE champion Salem Abdulrahman and Egyptian player Adham Fawzy will also compete. Registration closes soon.
