Doha, Qatar: Qatar Railways Company announced that the Doha Metro has recorded more than 200 million riders since its launch of service in 2019, indicating increasing public trust in the system.
Initially reaching 100 million passengers in about 3.5 years, the metro achieved the same milestone again in less than two years, demonstrating rapid growth in passenger confidence.
The metro, which features 37 stations across three lines, is recognized for providing safe and reliable transportation services. It has played a crucial role in facilitating over 20 major sports events in Qatar, including the FIFA World Cup 2022, with effective operational plans to ensure safety and service for attendees.
