Doha, Qatar: Souq Waqif is hosting a truffle exhibition and auction, known as "Fagga" in Arabic, starting Today, December 26, 2025, in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The event will take place in Souq Waqif's eastern courtyard, with the auction running from 8 am to 12 pm until the end of the exhibition. Notably, last year's event saw over 30 tonnes of truffles sold.
Desert truffles are highly valued by locals and attract many enthusiasts who come early to secure their purchases. They can be enjoyed in various dishes, including salads, stews, and some traditional Qatari meals.
