Doha, Qatar: Qatar has improved its position in the Quality of Life Index 2025, ranking ninth out of 88 countries, up from 18th in 2024, with a score of 193.3. This score indicates a notable increase from 165.9 in the previous year and surpasses many regional countries.
The index evaluates quality of life based on factors like purchasing power, pollution, housing costs, safety, healthcare, commute times, and climate, using data from user surveys. In comparison, Oman ranks fourth, the UAE is 20th, Saudi Arabia is 21st, and Kuwait is 34th.
Qatar outperforms several developed nations, including Sweden and the US, which are in the top 15. Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Denmark occupy the top three spots in the index.
