Forbes Middle East Unveils 'Top 20 Arab Women in Government' with Sheikha Al Mayassa Securing Top Spot

Forbes Middle East has launched its first 'Top 20 Arab Women in Government' list for 2025, showcasing influential female leaders in the Arab world who are driving change in public institutions, specifically in areas like diplomacy, culture, technology, media, and the environment. The list excludes ministerial and parliamentary roles.

Leading the list is Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, who has significantly expanded Qatar's cultural presence globally. She is recognized for her contributions to culture, education, leadership, and philanthropy, including founding the Doha Film Institute.

The rankings highlight the impact, tenure, and initiatives of these leaders, with Emirati women making up the majority of the list.
