Doha, Qatar: Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs opened the Sheikha Roda bint Jassim Al Thani Mosque in Umm Qarn, which can accommodate 1,050 worshippers.
Built on a 7,174 square meter plot, it includes a main prayer hall for 950 men, a women's prayer hall for 100, and an Eid prayer hall for 1,835 worshippers.
The mosque features facilities for ablution, parking (including spots for the disabled), and houses for the Imam and Muezzin. This project aligns with the Ministry's initiative to expand mosque facilities in response to Qatar’s population growth and urban development, supporting Qatar's National Vision 2030.
