Doha Ranks Third in Asia in Numbeo Quality of Life Index for 2025, Highlighting Safety and Healthcare Excellence

Doha, Qatar: Doha ranked third among 62 Asian cities in the 2025 Numbeo Quality of Life Index, reflecting its rapid development as a global hub that combines modernity with cultural richness while prioritizing residents' well-being. The index assesses cities based on various factors, including purchasing power, safety, healthcare quality, cost of living, traffic, pollution, and climate.

Doha scored 178.7 in the Quality of Life Index, with notable scores of 151.8 for purchasing power, 84.1 for safety, and 73.4 for healthcare. The cost of living was relatively low at 47.8, with a property price to income ratio of 6.2 and a traffic commute index of 29.1. The city was just behind Abu Dhabi and Muscat in the rankings.

A key factor in Doha's high ranking is its low crime rate, which fosters a sense of security among residents. Additionally, the city offers excellent healthcare through facilities like Hamad Medical Corporation and Sidra Medicine, supported by universal health coverage. The metro system, launched in 2019, further enhances commuting efficiency, contributing to Doha's livability.
