Doha, Qatar: The highly anticipated second edition of Visit Qatar's Throwback Food Festival has kicked off at Doha's Old Port, featuring experiences that celebrate local heritage through traditional cuisine and culture.
The festival recreates the ambience of old Qatari souks with the 'Dakkan' initiative, allowing visitors to sample traditional foods and sweets reminiscent of their childhood.
Activities include traditional games at the Folk Games Kiosk, artistic performances at the Throwback Food Festival Theatre, and interactive competitions like 'Kahoot' and 'Treasure Hunt' that engage participants with Qatari heritage. The festival also features storytelling by the Hakawati, a puppet show for families, and many more.
